Women's Art Insitute Scholarship Fund Benefit

The Fundraiser and Celebration to Benefit the Women’s Art Institute Scholarship Fund is happening this weekend! This piece will be featured in the event where 100% of its proceeds will go to benefiting a scholarship fund for the Women's Art Institute at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design, a 3 week summer intensive program which has continually inspired women artists and generated captivating dialogues for decades now.

Where: Northrup King Building Gallery, 1500 Jackson St. NE, Suite #332, Minneapolis

What: The WAI Scholarship Fundraiser­—an art sale and celebration to benefit artists seeking to attend the Women’s Art Institute at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design. This event is free and open to the public.

The Women’s Art Institute (WAI) will host a scholarship fundraiser and celebration on Saturday, March 26, 2011 at the Northrop King Building Gallery. Alumna and friends of WAI have contributed work to be sold with proceeds benefiting a scholarship fund for artists applying to the Women’s Art Institute Studio Intensive at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design.

Nearly 100 artists have contributed work to be sold in the benefit event, which will also include live music and refreshments.
